Deloitte is great, the SAP offering is not (Belgium)

Deloitte is a great employer which tries to engage employees and offers nice benefits. It will go out of it way to brand itself, also impacting the perception of your employment at your future employer. Deloitte also offers the ability to build a strong network and engage in a large variety of projects across different offerings, giving your general knowledge a boost.
Minpunten
You really have to be lucky with where you end up in Deloitte. All depends from your offerings directors and (especially) partners. Offerings like SAP which are quite large, do not care about lower levels resulting in little to no engagement within the team, little care for personal development and emphasis on getting any project staffed. In my team, almost everyone is unhappy because of a very uncharismatic director who does not care about your personal development. Make sure to really look into where you end up and who your directors and partners are as they will determine your experience, not Deloitte itself. Another problem with Deloitte is that there is barely any knowledge sharing, don't expect to enter Deloitte and be taught all the skills you require, you really need to figure out everything yourself and almost beg for help from colleagues. If you become good at something you will quickly become 'the expert' and get quite overloaded with task while people with little knowledge but good social/networking skills will become your manager. Also a lot of the branding at Deloitte is fake, they do not perform better than other consulting firms, they just sell themselves better. At a certain point you will really get tired of them pushing their agenda on you and you will start to feel like a number for them, even with all the marketing about being 'purposeful'.
